Tango Dance

Tango is known as one of the most dramatic and passionate partner dances in the world. Originating in the late 19th century along the border of Argentina and Uruguay, Tango developed from a fusion of cultural influences — including African rhythms, European immigrant music, and traditional South American folk styles. Its sharp footwork, deep connection, and emotional intensity make it distinct from other ballroom dances. Much of Tango’s rhythmic foundation can be traced back to Afro-Argentine ceremonial and musical traditions, which helped shape the dance’s powerful character and hauntingly expressive music.
